First there was Siri: Apple’s virtual assistant that could help you with everything from scheduling appointments, to reading texts, to searching for the closest sushi restaurant. Then there was Google Now.
Finally, this past April, Cortana was released by Microsoft as an answer and new alternative to the two previously released virtual assitant / voice search options. So what did this new, Halo-inspired assitant have to offer?
A whole lot more, some are saying. Promising to combine the best aspects of Siri and Google Now into one, Cortana hopes to blow the popular and sassy Siri and functionality-driven Google Now out of the water.
